Bluebelles of the Trail

Our Story
Bluebelles of the Trail began in May of 2022 when guitar and vocal sisters Lila and Bayli added two best friends, Bassist Elise and Mandolinist Lauren, to their duo to perform at Burlingame Rodeo Days. All four girls live right on the Santa Fe Trail where it passes through historic Burlingame, Kansas. Bluebelles comes from their emphasis on bluegrass and the first letters of their names - Bayli, Elise, Lauren and Lila. Their main performance venue is at Trail Songs Music's "Stage 56". The stage is on the very spot that was the muleskinners livery during the days of the Santa Fe Trail. The girls were invited to play in Andy Mays Acoustic Kids Showcase on Stage 2 at the 50th Walnut Valley Music Festival at Winfield, Kansas. Another trip to Winfield in 2023 provided another opportunity to play in the Showcase and also they got to perform a set on Stage 5 in the Pecan Grove which was a very motivational experience to say the least. Now they are adding instrument doubles, working on improv, playing shows at Kansas Prairie Pickers Association events.
2024 added many new performance opportunities as well as adding two new members who join the band on occasion. Piper on guitar and her sister Remi on fiddle and dobro have joined the band on several occasions and give the band much more versatility for instrumentation.
